Martin Moore believes in the philosophy of “Buy Well. Buy Once”. We have always created timeless, classic furniture that looks as good tomorrow as it does today. Designed and crafted by experts from the finest materials, it will stand the test of time and comes with a lifetime warranty.
As a household grows, requirements and style preferences change over time. The luxury of our bespoke furniture is that it can be designed not only to suit the individual property and the individual lifestyle of the clients but also be future-proofed to changes in family life.
As cupboard makers, we never discontinue a collection and can add to or adapt existing Martin Moore kitchens. We offer a repainting and renovation service should clients wish to suit a new interior design scheme. We have repainted kitchens that we installed over 30 years ago, returning them to pristine condition.
In the rare instance that a Martin Moore kitchen is removed, perhaps one of our showroom displays, we work with Rehome who specialise in reselling high-quality kitchens to reduce the impact on the environment and prevent waste.
We are a British manufacturer with workshops in Yorkshire. All our timber and board materials are sourced from forests certified under the Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC), Origine et Legalite des Bois (OLB) or Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC).
All timber-based waste produced in our workshop is fed into a BioMass Boiler which provides hot water for heating our workshop, offices and workshop showroom, thereby reducing gas consumption, and waste from the manufacturing process ending up as landfill.
For our painted furniture, a water-based primer is applied in our workshop with two water-based topcoats, mixed from a limitless colour palette, and applied by hand once the furniture is installed in your home.
We are currently in talks regarding the installation of solar panels to our workshop roof to reduce our non-solar energy by 69%. By signing up to use a Virtual Power Purchase Agreement (VPPA) we hope to only purchase power directly from renewable sources with the aim of reducing our non-renewable use down to almost 0%.
As with most businesses across sectors, we know there is more work to be done.
New material solutions and production techniques continue to emerge, and as technology advances and improves, Martin Moore will continue looking for additional ways to refine our sustainable practices across the business.
