It was crucial that the new space be just as practical and ergonomic as it is beautiful. Achieving a sense of drama was also part of the brief; a striking honed granite was used for the kitchen's worktops and splashback, creating a focal point at the far end of the room. Green velvet bar stools and patterned, multi-coloured furnishings add visual interest. This is cleverly juxtaposed with pale grey hand painted cabinetry, to great effect.
