Richmond Townhouse

Its height and scale had to be carefully considered, to address different ceiling heights and work around an imposing structural steel column. Absorbing the column within a desk/study area gave it purpose, allowing the rest of the kitchen to flow naturally around the window and range cooker. At the heart of the kitchen, the island is raised on legs to give a freestanding look. It has a clever secondary component; a large wooden Cook’s table which can be moved to give real flexibility to this multi-purpose family space.
