Our designer made that wall work hard by taking the cupboards as high as possible, glazing the doors to ensure they did not dominate the room. Valuable worktop space is provided by a large island which also incorporates under-counter refrigeration, a dishwasher and storage. As the island faces the living room the front also features glazed doors to display pretty china and glassware. To reflect the open-plan space the colour palette is calm and the beautifully decorative granite worktops have a tactile leathered finish with "waterfall" ends that drop down to the floor. Bespoke furniture was also commissioned for the bedroom and bathroom to accommodate the exceptional scale of the rooms.
