16th Century Cottage Conversion

Due to the age and heritage of the house, meticulous planning was necessary to work around the unusual architectural aspects of the property, namely the beautiful oak beams, sloped ceiling and uneven walls. As experts in bespoke design, Martin Moore was the first choice when it came to designing the expansive new space.

Nestled in the beautiful Kent countryside, this charming 16th century cottage and adjoining barn forms part of a much larger estate, within one of England's most idyllic rural landscapes. The owners wanted a fusion of classic and contemporary; a kitchen that was very much in harmony with the style of the building but that also had a touch of modernity. To achieve this, we combined our New Classic and Modernist cabinetry.
