The Cake Baker’s Kitchen

When cake baker extraordinaire Mich Turner MBE wanted a new kitchen she turned to Martin Moore to create a design that would suit family life, her love of entertaining and provide a space for developing new ideas for her stunning cake designs.

The key was the large island with storage on every side, enabling the prep area to be kept clear and ingredients close at hand. A previously unused corner of the room close to the dining table now houses a drinks and clear up zone complete with breakfast cupboard, wine fridge, coffee machine, large sink and dishwasher. To update the laundry room Martin Moore suggested moving the boiler into the garage to open up the room and provide much needed storage space, including an airing cupboard alongside the laundry appliances.
